Behind the Scenes: The Pandaverse Evolution

Dear Warpers, Since dropping Episode 8, I haven’t crawled back into hibernation. Instead, I’ve been busy overhauling the entire AI War Panda ecosystem partly for my sanity, and partly for my wallet.

The New "Old School" Home
My website now lives in two places: the Podcast Home (now hosted on Podbean) and this Blog, which acts as its own mini-universe. I made the jump to Podbean because they offer much better tools for you listeners, including their own app.

As for the website you’re viewing now, I was facing a £200+ renewal fee for my old host, so I decided to turn back the clock. I’ve gone "old school," building this site to feel like the handcrafted web of the 90s (minus the FrontPage glitches). It’s lean, it costs next to nothing, and that makes my wife happy 😂 

Note: You might find a few dead links from the old site rattling around. Sorry about that! In a few months, Google will have forgotten the old map and everything will be seamless.

What’s Next?

• Episode 9: Aiming for an April 10th release.

• Episode Zero: Still on the table! I’m also considering going back to "Remaster" the audio for the first three episodes now that I’ve got a better handle on the tech.

• Local AI: I’m moving toward running more AI systems locally to stay independent and keep costs down.

A Word on the "AI Slop" Debate
AI is facing a backlash right now. As a lifelong artist, I get it. Change is scary. People talk about "AI Slop," but I’ve always thought "slop" is like a "weed" a plant is only a weed if you hate it. If a AI image or a video brightens your day or entertains you, how can it be slop?
I try my darning-est to make sure everything I put out adds value and looks good. If you want check out my general thought on AI read my post  The AI Elephant in the Room.(written back in the AI Stone Age of 2023!).

Help a Panda Out
As you may know I’m hopeless at social networking, but I’m going to give it a "college try." Maybe I’ll actually get more than 10 followers on X this year!
